They revealed that the music producer passed away on July 23, though they did not provide any details in the post about what happened to him. The post read, “It is with profound sadness that the family and friends of William Orbit announce that William passed away at home on 23rd July 2026. We are deeply saddened by his passing. He will be greatly missed by us and by so many whose lives he touched through his music, friendship, and kindness. We kindly ask that the privacy of William’s family and close friends be respected during this difficult time.”

Who was William Orbit?
William Orbit was a well-known music producer who started his career in the music industry in the 1980s. Around that time, he began making music after co-founding the electronic trio Torch Song with Laurie Mayer and Grant Gilbert. He released the group’s debut album titled ‘Wish Thing’ in 1984. Over his career, the artist worked with many fellow musicians in the industry. He was, however, best known for his work with pop icon Madonna. He worked with her on her song ‘Beautiful Stranger,’ as well as her critically acclaimed album, ‘Music.’ In 2012, they reunited after a long time to create around 6 songs for her ‘MDNA’ album.
