During an interview on Fox News with politician Lara Trump, Nicki Minaj openly shared that she is a big supporter of the US president. While appearing on the ‘My View with Lara Trump’ segment of the news TV show, Lara and the 43-year-old rapper talked politics and how Minaj is still so vocal about her support for Trump, even though she works in an industry where a lot of people do not support him.During the interview, which aired on September 26, the rapper shared, “I always say he’s just a very authentic person. He’s always been himself. I mean, people pretend now that they have an issue with him. But the truth is everyone loves him.” She then added, “They have to act like they don’t. I understand; I understand the politics of it all. But that’s not how it truly is.”

Going forward in the interview, Minaj continued to share just how much she supports the 80-year-old politician. She then added, “He brings this candid, unedited vibe to the White House that we’ve never before seen, and it’s refreshing. Because for a very long time, people started feeling that we don’t know who we can trust. We started feeling like…everyone’s going along with some script, and when you see someone that goes off script, it’s like you come alive again—you feel alive.”The ‘Super Bass’ singer also mentioned how she has made it her “mission to be someone who supports him” and how Trump has helped her in life in his own ways.For the past couple of months, the rapper has actively attended events and rallies in support of Donald Trump and earlier this year, shared her support for the president in public while attending the Treasury Department summit in Washington, DC.The rapper has continued to share her support for him; many people have called her out for her actions and for supporting someone like him.
