For Muzammil Ibrahim, landing a role in Vamshi Paidipally‘s upcoming action film ‘SVC63’ is more than just a career milestone, it’s a full-circle moment. Sharing the screen with Salman Khan, someone he’s idolised since childhood, has turned out to be an experience the actor is still processing, and he’s now spoken candidly about what it feels like to work alongside the superstar.

Speaking to Mid-Day from the film’s set, Muzammil recalled the disbelief he felt the moment he found out he’d be working with Salman. “I never imagined that I’d get to work with him. When he came on the set, I was like, ‘Wow! I am going to be in the same frame as Salman sir,'” he shared. According to the actor, being around Salman in person has only deepened the admiration he’s carried since childhood.

Muzammil didn’t hold back about how starstruck he still gets on set, admitting his fandom occasionally gets in the way of casual conversation. “I am a crazy fan of Salman sir. So much so that I can’t even talk when he is around. I am bursting inside to tell him so many stories — for instance, how I used to tie a bandana just like him, or how I would walk like him,” he said, recalling how he used to mimic Salman’s mannerisms as a young fan — a habit that now feels almost surreal given he’s standing across from the same star on set.
‘SVC63’ marks a major career milestone
Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, SVC63 is shaping up to be a significant project for Muzammil, who believes his role in the series Special Ops played a key part in getting him noticed for it. “I think Special Ops was a big trigger; my work in the show was appreciated and people took notice of it,” he said. The film, expected to release in 2027, marks a considerable step up for the actor, putting him alongside two major stars in Salman Khan and Nayanthara.

Muzammil also spoke about getting to know co-star Nayanthara, admitting he had some catching up to do with her South Indian filmography before working together. “I have missed [watching] so many South films. So, I caught up on some of them. Nayanthara is fantastic. You respect the artiste more once you know them personally,” he said.Nayanthara was most recently seen in Geetu Mohandas’ ‘Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups’ alongside Yash, where she played the role of Ganga.
