During the recent Disney Legend Award ceremony, held on Sunday, ‘The End of Oak Street’ star Anne Hathaway received the Disney Legend Award. Video clips and photos from the event went viral, showing the mother of three getting emotional on stage as she accepted the honour.While on stage, Hathaway accepted the award teary-eyed, saying, “I am here today because I’m one of the most insanely lucky people in the world.” She further thanked her family and the people she has worked with over the years, who have helped her get where she is, adding that she grew up in an environment where things like acting, storytelling, and imagination were encouraged rather than suppressed. She added, “I’ve gotten to spend my life so far doing what I love, having so many adventures along the way, knowing joy and valuing the extraordinary good fortune that allows me to share my life with my greatest blessing, a family I couldn’t love more.”‘The Devil Wears Prada’ director David Frankel and editor-in-chief and fashion icon Anna Wintour came up on stage during the event to hand the beloved actress her well-deserved award. Wintour also praised Hathaway on stage, saying, “There is so much to admire about Anne—her work ethic, her talent, her versatility, but most of all, it’s her kindness that is so impressive.”
