Veteran Bollywood actress Leena Chandavarkar shared an interesting story about her late husband, legendary singer Kishore Kumar. She talked about some unique habits about the ‘Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan’ singer who used to do things in his own special way.During Leena Chandavarkar appearance as a special guest on Indian Idol, she talked about some of Kishore Kumar’s habits and fun memories that many people did not know.After host Aditya Narayan shared about Kishore Kumar’s famous habit of arriving at recording studios in one slipper and one ladies sandal, the ‘Humjoli’ actress shared another lesser-known habit.
Kishore Kumar’s simple paan habit
She said, “Woh paan sirf patta khaate the. Jo Calcutta ka paan ka patta hota hai na, ek patta khaate the. Matlab usmein andar choona nahi, tambaaku nahi, supari nahi, kuch bhi nahi. Gulkand bhi nahi. Kuch bhi nahi woh uske Khilaf the, bas woh sirf paan ka patta khaate the.” This means that Kishore Kumar only chewed a plain Calcutta paan leaf. He did not like adding lime, tobacco, betel nut, gulkand or any other ingredients.Leena Chandavarkar attended the show along with her son Sumit for an episode dedicated to the music icon.
