Actress Anaswara Rajan is set to share screen space with Megastar Chiranjeevi in his upcoming action thriller ‘Kaaka’, directed by Bobby Kolli. On the occasion of Anaswara’s birthday, the makers unveiled her first look from the film and introduced her character as Ammulu Paapa. Describing her as the “heart of Kaaka”, the team also hinted at the importance of her role in the highly anticipated project.

The newly released poster offers only a glimpse of Anaswara Rajan’s character, without revealing much about Ammulu Paapa. However, the makers’ birthday post suggests that she will have a significant part to play in the narrative. ‘Kaaka’ marks Anaswara’s first collaboration with Chiranjeevi as well as director Bobby Kolli. Sharing her first look, the makers wrote, “To the BEAUTIFUL PRESENCE that makes his world even more special. Wishing the ‘HEART OF KAAKA’, Ammulu Paapa, #AnaswaraRajan a very Happy Birthday.”The film is currently in production, with the team shooting in Hyderabad.
Chiranjeevi plays Satyam in ‘Kaaka’
The makers previously unveiled the title and a glimpse of ‘Kaaka’ on Chiranjeevi’s birthday, introducing his character as Satyam. In the video, the veteran actor is seen working as a supervisor at Ammaji Aqua Industries. The glimpse begins with a worker accidentally dropping a scooter key into a large tank filled with shrimps. Satyam attempts to retrieve it using a large magnet. However, the magnet unexpectedly pulls out several guns and weapons from the tank, hinting at the action-packed world surrounding his character. The intriguing glimpse has already raised curiosity about Satyam’s connection to the weapons and the larger story of ‘Kaaka’.
‘Kaaka’ marks Chiranjeevi and Bobby Kolli’s second collaboration
‘Kaaka’ brings Chiranjeevi and Bobby Kolli together for the second time after their successful collaboration ‘Waltair Veerayya’. The upcoming action thriller is being mounted on a large scale, with the team currently filming in Hyderabad. The project was launched with a grand pooja ceremony attended by Chiranjeevi’s brothers Pawan Kalyan and Nagababu. Pawan Kalyan gave the first clap, while Sushmita Konidela switched on the camera and director VV Vinayak directed the first shot.
‘Kaaka’ cast and release date
Apart from Anaswara Rajan, ‘Kaaka’ features Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil, Getup Srinu and Kannada actress Rachita Ram in important roles. S Thaman is composing the music for the film. ‘Kaaka’ is slated to arrive in theatres worldwide on January 13, 2027, coinciding with the Sankranti festival.
