India captain Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to field first against West Indies in the second ODI in Guwahati. India have made one change, with Auqib Nabi making his ODI debut in place of Nitish Kumar Reddy.Gill said the Barsapara pitch has “a bit more grass” and looks “a little bit patchy”, adding that there could be “a little bit more for the fast bowlers initially”.Reflecting on the first ODI, Gill said India were put “under pressure in the first 20-25 overs” but praised the way they fought back. He also identified fielding as an area India could improve, saying the “intensity in the field in the middle overs” is crucial.West Indies captain Shai Hope said he “definitely would have fielded as well” had he won the toss.
