Speculation around actor Govinda‘s personal life has been building for weeks, with reports suggesting he may be involved with his ‘Roopa’ co-star Komal Rani Swarnkar, despite being married to Sunita Ahuja for the past 39 years. These rumours gained further momentum after the two were recently seen together at the Lalbaugcha Raja celebrations in Mumbai. Amid all this, Sunita made a trip to a temple in Kolkata, where she opened up about the “demons” troubling her life and made an emotional plea to the younger generation for their support.

Addressing the media, Sunita Ahuja candidly spoke about the strain in her marriage to Govinda. During her visit to the Dakshineswar Kali temple near Kolkata, she referenced how the Goddess is believed to vanquish evil, saying, “Mere bhi jeevan mein kuch rakshas hain, aur main Mata ke dwara bolne aaye hoon ki unka bhi naash karein (I too have some demons in my life, and I have come here at the behest of Mata to seek their destruction as well).” She explained that her visit was aimed at seeking divine intervention to clear away the obstacles in her life.Sunita went on to allege that the situation was being manufactured for publicity and urged people not to encourage such behaviour. “What would you do if your daughter or daughter-in-law had to go through something like this? I want everyone to support me,” she said, further adding, “Jitne bhi Gen Z bacche ho, auratein ho, mujhe support kijiye. Joh mere saath ho raha hai, vo accha nahi ho raha hai. Mera ghar toot raha hai for no reason (To all the Gen Z youngsters and women, please support me. What is happening to me is not right. My home is breaking apart for no reason).”

Back in December 2024, reports had surfaced claiming that Sunita had moved to file for divorce from Govinda. By February 2025, the actor’s manager acknowledged the couple’s separation but insisted that all differences had since been resolved. However, in August this year, amid growing chatter about Govinda’s alleged relationship with his co-star, Sunita withdrew her divorce petition.The dating rumours first gained traction when Govinda and Komal were spotted together at the Mumbai airport earlier this year. Following their joint appearance at Lalbaugcha Raja, Govinda addressed the speculation while speaking to ANI, stating, “This is not a subject for anyone, even if there is an affair.
