Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently riding high on the success of her Rs 100 crore action film ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’. Besides hitting a professional high, the actress is also gearing up for a personal milestone, as she gets ready to welcome her first baby with husband Raj Nidimoru.In her latest chat, the actress opened up about why her latest film holds a special significance. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter India, Samantha revealed that she discovered she was pregnant while filming the popular Thassadiya song for the film. Recalling the moment, the actress said, “I was shooting for Thassadiya, and I had just found out. I had to go and do the steps, and I was having a little bit of sickness at that time. So, well, I guess everything just aligned.”The actress added, “I am truly excited, and really, I do believe it when everyone tells me, ‘Having a child changes your entire life.’ I think I’m ready for that change.”
Samantha says pregnancy was a surprise
Samantha also opened up about how she and husband Raj Nidimoru had previously reached a point where they were comfortable with having children and also not having one. She explained, “There was a point where both Raj and I were okay with either. I was fine, and so was he. So, this was a surprise!”Samantha announced in June that she and her hubby Raj are expecting a baby. As per reports, the little one is expected to arrive in December 2026. While the star has stepped away from work projects, she made sure to complete her prior commitments. Although not on the sets, Sam has been taking to her social media handle to share regular updates about her pregnancy and give fans a peek at her growing baby bump.
