According to the press release, as reported by PEOPLE, the theme park management plans to implement changes at the Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, location in honour of its dreamer-in-chief, Dolly Parton. The park’s president, Eugene Naughton, shared a statement: “Many of us had extensive conversations with Dolly through the years about how she would want us to carry her vision forward.”According to the statement, a cascading waterfall installation will be added at Dollywood, along with a brand-new stained-glass window in the chapel. The window will feature a depiction of the seasons over the mountains, featuring the singer’s favourite Bible verse: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” A brand new character called the Dream Maker will also be added to Dollywood in honour of her literacy program, ‘Imagination Library.’ The new character is meant to inspire people to “dream big, believe in themselves, and lift others through courage and kindness.”There is also an existing installation known as the Dolly Parton Experience, which will get an upgrade in the form of a new ‘portal’ that will lead up to the attraction. Lastly, the press release also revealed that there will be kiosks set up across the park to provide fans a place to talk about Parton and how she impacted their lives.Naughton continued his statement and shared, “Dollywood will always be a place where families find fun, kindness, and joy—a place where they can make memories that last a lifetime, just like she would have wanted. We will carry her dreams forward by continuing to grow, welcoming even more guests, and sharing the warmth and hospitality of which she was so proud.”
