Arun Matheswaran’s ‘DC’ has continued its theatrical journey with a steady performance on its tenth day. The Tamil film features director Lokesh Kanagaraj in his acting debut as Devadas.According to Sacnilk, ‘DC’ collected Rs 4.50 Cr in India net on Day 10. The figure marks an 18.2% decline from the Rs 5.50 Cr earned on Day 9.The film recorded its tenth-day collection from 2,216 shows. Its India net collection has now reached Rs 54.76 Cr. The India gross stands at Rs 63.06 Cr.The overseas market contributed Rs 1 Cr on Day 10. This has taken the film’s overseas gross to Rs 21.25 Cr. The worldwide gross collection has consequently reached Rs 84.31 Cr.

‘DC’ crosses Rs 84 Cr worldwide

‘DC’ completed its first week with an India net collection of Rs 41.90 Cr. The film’s daily numbers have fluctuated during its second week.The action movie earned Rs 5.25 Cr on Day 6. It followed that with Rs 4.15 Cr on Day 7.The Tamil version earned Rs 3.30 Cr on Day 10. The Telugu version added Rs 1.18 Cr, while the Hindi version contributed Rs 2 lakhs only.

Tamil version records strong occupancy

The Tamil version of ‘DC’ recorded 60.51% overall occupancy on its tenth day. Morning shows registered 36.62% occupancy.The afternoon shows performed strongly with 67% occupancy. Evening screenings recorded 55.46%. Night shows registered 54.23%.The Telugu version recorded a lower overall occupancy of 33.64%. Morning shows registered 21.33%. Afternoon screenings reached 38.44%, while evening shows recorded 33.67%. Night shows stood at 35.67%.

State-wise collection of ‘DC’

Tamil Nadu remained one of the key markets for ‘DC’ on Day 10. The state contributed Rs 1.61 Cr to the day’s gross collection.Kerala also recorded a notable contribution of Rs 1.60 Cr. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together added Rs 1.35 Cr.Karnataka contributed Rs 60 lakhs. The remaining Indian markets added another Rs 5 lakhs. The film’s total India gross for the day stood at Rs 5.21 Cr.

Mahesh Babu praises Lokesh Kanagaraj’s debut

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu has shared his reaction to ‘DC’. The actor took to X on August 16 and praised the film after watching it.The Telugu superstar tweeted, “#DC… what an original and outstanding film Just too cool… Loved every bit of it!!
