Months of waiting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s highly anticipated period romance ‘Love and War’ is slowly coming to an end, with the makers reportedly ready to roll out their promotional campaign for the film.
‘Love and War’ first look to relase on August 15?
After multiple delays in production, new reports indicate that fans of the Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal will be in for a treat next weekend with the release of the film’s first look. As per a report on bollywoodhungama, the makers will be unveiling the character posters of its lead stars on August 15, well ahead of the film’s Republic Day 2027 release.The report states that Bhansali is planning to release the first-looks of his leading stars on Independence Day. This will be the first official glimpse from the film, even though several photos from the sets have leaked online over time.Fans will reportedly be in for a treat as Bhansali is allegedly exploring the possibility of unveiling a video. “It’s work in progress, and he might or might not reveal the looks in video format. While character posters are locked, one still awaits clarity on this new format of announcement,” the source informed the portal.An official announcement from the makers is still awaited.
‘Love and War’ shoot nears completion
Meanwhile, production on ‘Love and War’ is reportedly entering its final phase. According to the report, Vicky has already wrapped up filming, while Ranbir and Alia are expected to complete their remaining portions over the next 20 days. Kapoor, who has also been juggling his time between the ‘Ramayana’ film sets, was recently spotted in the city, rocking his look from the film. As per the report, principal photography will likely conclude by the end of August.The film marks the first time Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal will share screen space together, although they have each turned screen partners on other film projects before.
‘Love and War’ to be Bhansali’s most expensive film
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘Love and War’ is reportedly mounted on a budget of Rs 300 crore, making it the most expensive film of the filmmaker’s career. The project also reunites Bhansali with Ranbir after their 2007 collaboration with the film ‘Saawariya’. It also marks the director’s reunion with Alia, after working together on ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.
