According to the latest reports, the famed rapper settled with his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta. She filed a civil lawsuit against him in 2024, alleging he assaulted and harassed her on multiple occasions. Read ahead to know more about the case and the final settlement.

Kanye West settles with former assistant

Almost two years after West’s former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, initially filed the civil lawsuit, the two have formally settled. PEOPLE reported that the settlement was finalised in court on July 23. The filing for the unconditional settlement was made on July 28, with terms stating that Pisciotta will officially file a plea to dismiss the case within the first 45 days after the settlement is filed.According to reports shared online, no other details about their settlement have been revealed to the public.

What happened between Kanye West and Lauren Pisciotta

Pisciotta filed the civil lawsuit earlier in 2024, alleging that during her employment with the rapper, she faced repeated sexual harassment and abuse. She worked with West from 2021 to 2022, and also accused the rapper of wrongful termination and breach of contract. Since then, West has continued to deny all allegations in the lawsuit. In her filing, she stated that West had touched her inappropriately and forced himself onto her without her consent on multiple occasions during her employment.Another allegation in the court documents revealed that she was allegedly drugged and assaulted during a studio session he held with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs at the time. She later filed an amended complaint in 2025, alleging harassment during a work trip with him as well.In 2024, the musician’s legal reps also issued statements denying all claims the former assistant made against him. Calling the allegations “baseless” at the time, the statement further stated that she was removed from her job because she was “unqualified” for it. They also labelled her lawsuit as a form of “extortion and blackmail.” They added that she had made demands of “$50 [million] in last week’s frivolous filing.As of right now, no other details about their case have been shared with the public.
