Kartik Aaryan‘s much-anticipated fantasy comedy ‘Naagzilla’ has officially wrapped shooting, marking the end of a long and eventful production journey for the cast and crew. The final schedule was shot in Mumbai, and the occasion was made even sweeter, quite literally, with a cake reading “Naagzilla Film Wrap” cut to celebrate the milestone. With the shoot behind them, director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and his team now turn their attention to post-production, as the film gears up for its Independence Day 2026 release.
Naagzilla’s final day of filming was full of emotion
According to Bollywood Hungama, most of the shoot of ‘Naagzilla’ had been completed, but one day of filming remained. It took place yesterday, Sunday, July 26, in Mumbai. Ravi Kishan was present along with director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, writer Gautam Mehra and co-producer Divyansh Jain. They were jubilant about the wrap but also emotional, as they had shared a fun-filled and memorable journey while making the film. It was a hectic yet highly exciting shoot for the cast and crew. To celebrate the occasion, a cake bearing the words ‘Naagzilla Film Wrap’ was brought in and enjoyed by the cast and crew. Incidentally, July 25 was director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba’s birthday, which further added to the celebratory atmosphere on the film’s sets.
Naagzilla’s lead actor had wrapped his portions earlier
Kartik Aaryan wasn’t on set for the last leg of filming, having already finished his part of ‘Naagzilla’ earlier this year, a milestone that came right after he picked up his first National Award. With the shoot now “100% complete,” as per the report, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and his team have shifted their entire focus to post-production and VFX. The story unfolds in a wonderfully absurd universe, driven by non-stop, larger-than-life comedy. Between its offbeat setting, wild humor, well-rounded cast, and a soundtrack expected to top the charts, the makers are betting big on these elements bringing audiences into theaters.
‘Naagzilla’ release details
‘Naagzilla’ is jointly produced by Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain‘s Mahaveer Jain Films. The film is slated to hit cinemas on February 12, 2027.
