‘Chennai Love Story’ registered an India gross collection of Rs 5.69 crore on Day 1. The film also performed well in overseas markets, where it earned Rs 2.60 crore gross. The film’s worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 8.29 crore on its opening day. The romantic drama was screened across 1,638 shows nationwide.
Occupancy improves during night shows
The film recorded an overall occupancy of 43.05% in the Telugu version on its opening day.Morning shows began with 25.46% occupancy. The afternoon shows improved to 32.46%, while evening occupancy stood at 29.46%. The biggest jump came during the night shows, which recorded an impressive 52.77% occupancy.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana lead
The film received its biggest contribution from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, which generated Rs 5.15 crore gross on the opening day.Among the other markets, Karnataka contributed Rs 50 lakhs while Tamil Nadu added Rs 1 lakh. The Rest of India collected Rs 3 lakhs. These figures helped the film post an overall India gross collection of Rs 5.69 crore.
