More often than not, there are moments in life that make you fall apart. Many times we may let these instances overwhelm us. However, Ben Affleck’s quote for the day is all about understanding that hardships will come and go in life no matter what. However, it is up to you as an individual to change your perspective and get up and deal with everything face on.Today’s quote from the ‘Batman’ actor came from his speech at the 85th Academy Awards on February 24, 2013. When the actor’s film, ‘Argo,’ won for Best Picture, he, along with the entire film’s team, got up on stage to accept the award. The quote for the day by Ben Affleck reads: “It doesn’t matter how you get knocked down in life; that’s gonna happen. All that matters is you gotta get up.”

What does Ben Affleck’s quote mean?

Taking into account his own hardships in life, Affleck states that life is filled to the brim with hardships and obstacles; however, no matter what, it is important to remember that you have to keep moving forward in life towards your goal. While most people treat failures and setbacks in a negative light, it is important to change your perspective on things and understand that when life knocks you down, it teaches you a lesson to keep moving forward; it teaches you what to do and what not to do in life.Further on, the quote tells us that over-analyzing your failures is a trap. Whether you were knocked down by your own mistakes, bad luck, or because of others, the result is the same. However, if you spend too much time on how it all happened, you may not be able to move ahead in life to the next stage that comes. Then the quote talks about ownership and how, while it may not matter about how you came across the obstacles in life, it all matters in taking ownership over how you choose to bounce back from it all and set yourself back onto the right path. Your character isn’t defined by the fall, but by the action you take immediately after.
